Club History

Kiwanis International was founded in 1915 and is headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana; the Kiwanis Club of Louisville was chartered soon after in 1916. We are a thriving organization of community and service minded men and women. More than 7,700 Kiwanis clubs in more than 80 countries make their mark by responding to the needs of their communities and pooling their resources to address community issues. Our motto is "Serving the Children of the World".
